Terms & House Rules

dinkumwall is a small anonymous wall for people who hate their job. The rules below are how we keep it honest, safe and worth coming back to. By posting here, you're agreeing to them.
1.Anonymous, but not invisible
You don't need an account to vent. We don't ask for your name, your email, your employer or anything else. To keep the wall functional (rate limits, deleting your own posts, basic moderation) we store a random session ID in your browser. That's it. We don't track you across the internet and we don't sell anything to anyone.
2.What you can post
Vents about work, burnout, your boss, your industry, the systems that grind people down. Your love side — the thing your job will never see (pottery, music, poems, code, plates, side hustles, dreams). The quiet stuff you can't say at work.
3.What you can't post
- Real names of coworkers, bosses, clients or anyone else.
- Personal details that could identify a real person: phone numbers, emails, addresses, photos.
- Defamatory or factually false accusations against named people or companies.
- Threats, harassment, hate speech, or targeted abuse.
- Spam, ads, promo links, affiliate links, recruitment posts.
- Illegal content, or content that incites illegal acts.
Company names are okay. Venting about a brand is part of the deal. Naming individuals isn't.
4.We can remove things
We can take down any post that breaks these rules, at any time, without notice. If a post gets reported and we agree it crosses a line, it goes. We try to be fair, not precious about it.
5.You own what you write
Your vents and love-side pieces stay yours. By posting them publicly on dinkumwall, you give us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display, copy and share them on the site and in dinkumwall's own social channels (e.g. Instagram quote cards). We won't sell your words to a third party.
6.Love-side pieces (Your space)
The portfolio on your space is for you first, and visible to others second. Don't upload anything you don't have the right to share — your own work, or work you have permission to post. No stolen images, no copyrighted music you don't own, no client work covered by NDAs.
7.Reporting
Every post has a report button. Use it if something breaks these rules. We read every report. We don't promise to remove everything, but we do promise to look.
8.No professional advice
dinkumwall is a vent wall, not a therapist, lawyer, doctor, financial adviser or HR department. If you're in crisis, please reach out to a real human. In Australia: Lifeline 13 11 14, Beyond Blue 1300 22 4636.
9.No guarantees
We run dinkumwall in good faith but we don't guarantee uptime, accuracy of anything posted, or that the site will be here forever. Use at your own risk. We're not liable for losses caused by the site, the content on it, or downtime.
10.Changes to these rules
If the rules need to change (they will, as the site grows), we'll update this page and bump the date at the top. Continued use of the site after that means you're okay with the new version.
11.Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia. If something goes legally sideways, that's the jurisdiction.
